It was determined that his PD was caused by his work related exposures as a pesticide inspector. He was in his early 40s at the time and had to go through multi levels of medical review and appeals to establish his claim. He continued working for about 2 years until his PD advanced to the point where he could not longer work. The union worked with the agency to improve health and safety protocols for the pesticide inspectors. In the subject case, it was an annual cholinesterase exam that provided the clue about his work exposure and disease.
